project overview
Our design company had the privilege of crafting the album cover for "Love in 86'," a concept album that captures the essence of rhythmic rock with a nostalgic 80s twist. The client wanted a design that visually embodied the emotional and sonic journey of the album, while standing out in today's digital music platforms.
The design process was a collaborative effort, starting with brainstorming sessions to understand the artist's vision and the album’s narrative. Using MKLatinoPlain as the primary font, we created a modern-retro layout that merges timeless design with contemporary appeal. The final product is a visually compelling album cover that resonates with rhythmic rock fans while standing out in a crowded market.

Typography with MKLatinoPlain: We used the distinctive MKLatinoPlain font to give the design a retro-modern feel. The font’s bold yet elegant style perfectly aligns with the rhythmic rock genre and adds a layer of sophistication.
Vibrant Color Palette: Contrasting shades of turquoise blue and red create a striking visual impact, symbolizing the passionate energy and dramatic emotions explored in the album.
Stylized Mountain Imagery: The central mountain symbolizes strength and emotional depth, tying into the album's themes of love and resilience.
Floral Accents: Subtle floral details add balance and intricacy, making the design appealing and versatile across formats like physical albums and digital streaming platforms.
Genre-Driven Aesthetics: The retro-modern look reflects the rhythmic rock vibe, ensuring the design connects instantly with the target audience.
Marketability: The clean typography, bold colors, and intricate details ensure the cover looks stunning across all platforms, from Spotify to vinyl records.
Emotional Storytelling: The combination of bold imagery and thoughtful design elements enhances the album's emotional depth, encouraging listeners to dive into its story.
